1. Scope and provider
These terms concern this website and general product information for CoYoMu, provided by West IT. The imprint identifies the provider. Use of the app is also subject to the End User License Agreement and applicable Apple App Store or Google Play terms. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
2. Purpose of CoYoMu
CoYoMu is an independent audio player for iPhone, iPad and Android. It plays audio on your device, connects to supported self-hosted or public sources, and integrates with CarPlay and Android Auto. It does not provide a music subscription, operate a CoYoMu content cloud, or supply its own music, radio, podcasts, audiobooks or lyrics.
3. Free features, trial and Pro
Public podcasts and Radio Browser are free to stream on phones and tablets. Own-server playback, downloads, offline playback and vehicle use require an active 30-day trial or Pro. The trial starts only on your explicit choice and does not result in an automatic payment. Pro is a permanent, one-time unlock rather than a subscription. Voluntary tips are separate and do not unlock features.
Prices, availability and purchase conditions are shown by the relevant store before purchase. Apple and Google purchases are separate and do not transfer between stores. Licence access applies to the local profiles within the app. Restore options and refunds follow the relevant store rules and applicable law; this website does not take payments.
4. Your content and connections
You are responsible for compatible devices, authorised service accounts, your network and servers, and the rights needed to access, download and play the content you choose. A Pro purchase does not grant rights to third-party content or services. Access from outside your home network may need a reachable server and an appropriate secure connection.
5. Use in a vehicle
Set up servers, profiles, downloads and purchases before driving. Use CarPlay and Android Auto only when permitted by the vehicle host and applicable road rules. Do not interact with the app when doing so would distract you from driving. You remain responsible for safe operation; voice or vehicle integration does not remove that responsibility.
6. External services and compatibility
Server software, Plex account services, podcast catalogues and hosts, Radio Browser, broadcasters, lyrics providers, Apple and Google are operated by their respective providers. Their terms and privacy practices apply to their own services. Availability can depend on network conditions, server permissions, operating systems, vehicle hosts and changes to external interfaces.
Supported audio formats depend on native decoders and, where available, server transcoding. Not every file, live stream or segmented stream can be downloaded or played. CarPlay and Android Auto may offer different layouts and permitted controls.
7. Website and product availability
The website describes the current product and planned store launch. An announced plan is not a guarantee of a release date or acceptance by a store. West IT makes reasonable efforts to maintain accurate information and reliable operation. Features may evolve to maintain compatibility or meet platform requirements, subject to the rights applicable to digital products. Required statutory update and conformity obligations are not excluded.
8. Liability and mandatory rights
West IT is liable without limitation for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, and in other cases where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable product-liability obligations. Otherwise, liability is governed by applicable statutory provisions. Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer, warranty, conformity, update or refund rights.
9. Intellectual property and independence
App and website materials belonging to West IT remain protected by their respective rights. Separately licensed open-source components and third-party content retain their own licences. Platform and service names are used to identify compatibility and do not imply sponsorship or endorsement. Do not reproduce third-party artwork merely because it appears in a screenshot.
10. Privacy, contact and disputes
Data processing is explained in the Privacy Policy. Questions can be addressed to West IT through the contact details in the imprint. West IT is neither obliged nor willing to participate in consumer-arbitration proceedings. Your right to use the courts or make a statutory complaint remains unaffected.
