1. Agreement and scope
This agreement describes the licence for CoYoMu provided by West IT, as identified in the imprint. The app is intended for supported iPhone, iPad and Android devices, including their permitted CarPlay and Android Auto integrations. Applicable store terms and mandatory law remain in force. Publishing this agreement on the website does not itself change a licence already agreed through a store.
2. Licence to use the app
Subject to lawful acquisition and the applicable store usage rules, West IT grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive licence to install and use CoYoMu on supported devices you own or control. Transfer and sharing are governed by the store's permitted usage rules and mandatory law. This licence permits playback through supported vehicle integrations; it grants no ownership of the software or third-party content.
3. Free access, trial and permanent unlock
Free access covers public podcasts and Radio Browser streaming on phones/tablets. Own-server playback, downloads, offline playback and vehicle use require Pro or an active trial. The 30-day trial is explicitly activated and does not automatically create a payment obligation. Pro unlocks the protected features permanently through a one-time purchase, subject to valid purchase status and applicable law. It is not a promise that every future service or platform will remain compatible indefinitely.
Purchases apply within the respective store and are not shared between Apple and Google. Voluntary tips do not unlock features. Expiry of the trial does not itself delete your profiles, favourites, listening positions or existing downloads; protected playback or new download actions may require Pro after expiry.
4. Ownership and open-source components
CoYoMu is licensed, not sold. Rights in its proprietary code, design and brand remain with West IT and its licensors. Open-source components remain governed by their own licences; the corresponding notices are accessible through the app's open-source licence view. Those licences prevail for their components where applicable.
5. Permitted use and restrictions
You may connect services and servers you are authorised to access and play or download content for which you have the required permissions. You may not use CoYoMu for unauthorised access, bypass licence/security checks, or unlawfully redistribute, sublicense, rent or resell the app. Reverse engineering and other restricted acts remain permitted to the extent required by mandatory law or a component's separate licence.
6. Third-party content, devices and safety
The licence grants no rights to music, audiobooks, podcast episodes, broadcasts, artwork, lyrics or service accounts. Provider terms apply separately. Compatibility depends on operating systems, vehicle hosts, native decoders, server capabilities and external interfaces. Use HTTPS for publicly reachable self-hosted services and protect your credentials. Prepare the app before driving and comply with road rules and vehicle restrictions.
7. Updates, support and conformity
Updates may maintain compatibility, fix issues or respond to platform changes. West IT remains responsible for its applicable support, conformity, warranty and statutory update obligations. No provision of this agreement excludes mandatory digital-product or consumer rights. For support, use the provider contact details.
8. Ending use
You may stop using the app and uninstall it at any time. A material breach may lead to termination only where permitted by applicable law, with any legally required notice or opportunity to remedy. Termination requires you to cease unauthorised use; it does not remove accrued statutory claims or entitle West IT to disregard mandatory rights. Uninstalling does not automatically delete data held by your servers or stores.
9. Liability
West IT is liable without limitation for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, and other liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including applicable product-liability obligations. In other cases, the applicable statutory rules govern. Nothing here waives mandatory warranty, conformity, update, refund or consumer rights.
10. Apple App Store provisions
The applicable Apple Standard EULA remains effective unless a custom licence has actually been agreed through the store. For a custom Apple licence, the Apple minimum terms also apply:
- The app agreement is with West IT, not Apple. West IT is responsible for support, warranties and app-related claims.
- Apple has no support obligation. Applicable refund rights for a failure to meet warranty remain available.
- West IT addresses intellectual-property claims about the app. You must comply with applicable third-party and export restrictions.
- Apple and its subsidiaries may enforce the agreement as third-party beneficiaries.
Apple device usage and any permitted sharing follow Apple's store rules. These provisions do not restrict mandatory consumer rights.
11. Google Play and other mandatory terms
For Google Play distribution, the applicable Google Play terms and usage rules apply in addition. Store terms prevail where mandatory. This website does not claim that a custom licence has already been configured or approved by either store.
12. Privacy and contact
The Privacy Policy explains data processing. For licence questions, support or complaints, contact West IT using the details in the imprint.
